Welcome to The Book Club

Greetings, TBC…

Everyone has a dream. Mine, to own a café serving baked goods (such as jarred cakes), frappes (milk teas, too) while giving a chance for book lovers to read books and buy one as well. I even had a name for it already: JARRED (derived from my book with the same name). But I know it will be a lot of investment: money, time, and the right venue. And, of course, I don’t have the capacity to provide all those yet. But I don’t easily give up. I still pushed past my borders and made my dream come true. Instead of putting up a huge bookstore/café, I spoke with my team (me, myself and I) and finally decided to launch my first business ever–an online bookshop. Better start with something small than nothing, right? So, welcome to the world, The Book Club, or simply TBC.

What is TBC?

The Book Club (aka TBC) believes in the value of reading and education. We strive to provide quality books at affordable prices. This is a bookshop with the cheapest-priced books ranging from, yeah, with cool names: High 5!, Eternally 12, Sweet 20-Teen, Wild 49-ers, Lucky 69, 99 Forever, and Specially Priced. In layman's, from Php 5.00 to Php 99. We offer interesting selection of books suited to any reader. I know that TBC is a haven for book enthusiasts, like you, who may browse endlessly through the online store’s simplistic design emphasizing only to find selections that appeal to your unique taste.

In the past seven years, the self-publishing market has exploded. I think that’s great, because one of my missions has been to empower people to self-publish. Isn’t it nice to have more books in the world, well, that’s the best part of all. And I know, everyone—readers and writers alike—agree to me. I want to support indie writers because as a self-published author myself I’ve been through the hardest part of being one. Even asking myself, “Yes, I’ve already printed my books. But now, how will I get my books out there?” Now, let me ask a question, are you looking for a place where you can distribute your books? Well, here’s The Book Club (TBC) serving your needs. You can sign up a consignment contract with us and sell your books through TBC. (For more info about consignment, feel free to contact us at TBC Bookshop or 0948-676-6740) With this, I’m fulfilling my mission through helping my fellow self-pub authors to reach out to their readers. Isn’t that amazing?

Books to expect…

Enjoy our selection of pre-owned books, including: academic books, business books, children's books, fantasy books, romance books, fiction books, Filipino books, and even self-published books from our Wattpad friends.

We also grant book requests. We call it Request-A-Book (or RAB). This takes place every Wednesday of the week. So, on our site, there will be a post every Wednesday especially dedicated for the Request-A-Book. You can write down your requests on the comment box below and we will do our best to get your books available on Saturday the same week or any day on the following week.
